We managed to do something no one else in our industry has done before. As an OEM, Suzuki allowed its customers to order directly from Suzuki.com. By using a channel distribution solution (Shopatron) we were able to achieve our goal. There was market information showing that customers wanted to buy online from Suzuki.com/accessories, but were not able to. I spearheaded the effort to get high level buy in and pushed the project though to its current state. The process and solutions used are still in use today.
